Founded in 2005, Government Initiatives Group is an emerging federal and state government relations firm with offices in Columbus, Ohio. Its two principals, Ted Brown and R. Michael Taylor, led the firm. Ted Brown now retired, still serves in a consulting capacity. The firm maintains a diverse practice, it has extensive experience in the areas of labor, law enforcement, workers compensation, health and pensions.

Government Initiatives Group was established on the philosophy of providing hands-on, straightforward and proactive government relations representation that is comprehensive in its approach. To achieve this position, we develop an advocacy strategy based on achievable objectives, political resources and rational boundaries specific to each client’s needs and interests. This approach has enabled Government Initiatives Group to develop long-term business relationships with elected officials, decision-makers and policy makers on both sides of the aisle.
